Everything you need!

I am swapping a Ford 8.8 rear axle into my 98 ZJ 5.9 Limited. I purchased this kit because it seemed to be the most complete kit on the market and it did not disappoint It has all the brackets you need and the instructions are easy to follow. I had to do some VERY MINOR grinding on the truss and lower control arm brackets for proper fitment but it wasnt a big deal at all. I had the whole thing dialed in and welded up completely in only a few hours. The kit is very well thought out high quality material with good fitment. It is pricey compared to others but it has everything you need and the amount of time you save will make up for it Highly recommended if youre doing an 8.8 swap in your ZJ

What a great kit everything went together well. With some careful measurements my axle bolted in with no alignment problems. I used Rustys adjustable control arms to fine tune the pinion angle. My ride height is about two inches higher than with the Dana 35 more room for bigger tires right I will buy from these guys again for my front axle build.

I bought 2 of these kits and It couldnt have been more straight forward with the install everything is easy to understand only complain I have is there is some coating on the edges of all the pieces that makes welding act weird.. I had to scrape it off before it would weld perfect. The other thing is that the shocks mount wont fit my shock the body of the shock hits the mount so I had to mount them upside down so they probably wont last long but other then that I have had zero issues

Dana turdy no more! 8.8 I Truss!

Very impressed with the fit and finish of this kit. Easier to assemble and align than expected. Buy yourself an electronic angle gauge (30 on Amazon) it makes it super easy to get all the axles exactly as the directions recommend. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is a great kit The quality is excellent. You can really tell a lot of engineering went into this product. Everything fit as it should The directions were very helpful with setting the pinion angle. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for quality.... and its made in the USA

As I was researching the ZJ 8.8 swap at first I thought I would cut brackets from the Dana 35 and figure it all out myself on the cheap. Found this kit read some reviews changed my mind. Couldnt be happier with that decision. This kit saves so much trouble its not even funny. It is very well designed. As soon as I opened the box I knew I made the right move. The parts are very high quality. The cuts are clean and crispy. I am a born skeptic especially when it comes to 4x4 or hot rod shops online. Too often the parts are overpriced and underbuilt. This kit is dead simple to rig up extremely stout and worth every penny of the asking price. Once everything was tacked together the test fit was perfect. The main truss needed about a half second of grinding to clear my housing but that is it. No endless grinding to clear basic parts no holes that didnt line up no sketchy materials straightforward instructions etc. Cant say enough positive things about this setup. Buy it. Thanks Artec. I will be happily spending more money here in the future.

Will this fit a 1998 ZJ with a 2 1/2 inch lift?

Can the track rod mount be attached to the right side instead of the left side for right hand drive vehicles ?

With a 7 inch lift on my zj what pinion angle do you recommend ?

A — Staff (Artec Team): It all depends on Engine, Transmission, Transfercase combination , ect. What works for 1 Jeep may not necessarily work for another. A common method is to set the pinion angle with sye would be to angle the pinion down 1-2 degrees from the driveshaft angle to compensate for pinion lift under load .

A — Staff (Artec Team): There are a lot of frame side changes that would need to be made to the ZJ to allow for a triangulated kit. Does this product allow the 8.8 to bolt up directly to the zj or would further modifications be needed such as welding new mounts?

A — Staff (Artec Team): This kit requires the entire kit to be welded including the mounts, but on the frame side you will not have to add any additional brackets.
