A-Arm Skid Review

Shipping was fast. The instructions make them very straightforward to install. These are well put together and fit snugly. I did have to trim my stock front skid so it slides over these a-arm skids but thats straightforward with an angle grinder. They go great with the artec venture bumper I bought and it was great these came included with the bumper purchase

Excellent product and look great on vehicle. Easy to install took around 30 minutes. Received as part of their promotion for buying the Venture bumper and was not disappointed with quality.

Awesome product, Easy install!

These LCA skids are beautiful well built and very easy to install. It probably took 20 mins to install (minus skid trim) and the funniest part is that the only reason you need to trim the OEM skid plate is because the name badge that sits 14 off the armor rubs otherwise.

Skids are VERY well made and fit like a glove. Only suggestion is to list a tourque rating when tightening rivnuts. Video says tighten till you cant tighten anymore.....dont do that Stripped the first one and had to drill it out and order another set Be careful using an impact driver Once set installation is a breeze and they fit perfectly Cutting the factory skid pan was a bit of a challenge but once sanded and painted it looked awesome

Could not use

These were sent to me free of charge when I ordered an Artec front bumper. They look great and well built but my 4Runner has KDSS and these will not fit. I called and no update is available at this time.

The first thing I noticed when I got these skids was how stout they are. They feel incredibly solid. Installation was very easy took less than 30 minutes. They look great and are functional cant ask for more.

5th gen 4runner control arm skids

These things rock Totally change me the look of my suspension setup. I unfortunately noticed a hole in my CV boot when installing these and if I would have had them on the whole time it would not have happened. Very easy install with provided Riv nut and countersunk bolt heads. Lightweight and full protection of CV boot front and rear of a-arm and alignment bolts.

I bought the a arm skids, don't see instructions but it looks simple. is there anything I need to know before I get surprised? thanks

A — Staff (Artec Team): Yes the lower control arm skids are laser cut from sheets of 6061 aluminum , Formed to shape in our press brakes and tig welded together .

Hi, looking at the Toyota 4Runner 5G A-Arm Skids. I saw your video on the install in the 4Runner with a factory skid plate. But my question is: Does this skid plates fits with the TRD PRO skid? Thanks, Fernando Vega

A — Staff (Artec Team): The trd pro skid will need to be trimmed to run the A arm skids .

Do these need drilling to be installed? Model is non-kdss, 2019 TRD Offroad.

A — Staff (Artec Team): The A Arm skids will work on the 2019 TRD Pro but there is 1 hole on each arm to be drilled to install a riv nut .

Will these work with KDSS (2016 4runner pro)?

A — Staff (Artec Team): The lower control arm skids will not work with KDSS equipped 4 runners .
