YJ Back half kit

Right out of the box this is a nice heavy robust kit. Easy alignment of the pieces makes assembly easy. I put this together and added the rest of the necessary parts for another 25 in locally sourced steel. I am installing this kit on a YJ to convert to rear long arms and coils.

The back Half Frame Kit was super easy to assemble and weld. I goofed up where it said measure 5 from the edge of the body mount and accidentally measured from the center line of the body mount (I cut 1.5 of the frame off by accident). Totally my fault. The 5 from the body mount edge is exactly correct.

This is just pure Genius 14 inch plate and a nice fit with minor Adjustments to the chassis. Getting rid of that Clunky back end was awsome and now it looks really clean and it also allowed for much needed grownd Clearance And the ability to run coil overs now plus I Stretch to an LJ awsome kit i got great Benefits from This kit thank You ARTEC for great products I will be back.

Great kit but even with a 1 body lift youre going to have to cut out the area underneath your tailgate.

Has anybody modified and used these on a CJ? What are the measurement of the pockets that slide over the existing frame rails? thanks

A — Staff (Artec Team): Cutomers have used these on CJ's the side plate is 5.5" tall the top plate is free floating so it can be welded anywhere along that 5.5"

Can this be used to stretch a TJ frame to 104 inches?

A — Staff (Artec Team): This Frame kit is designed to allow a person to extend their frame as long as they need to for their build since the user will select how long the tubing will be.

Will this work with the existing frame at rear if you just cut the bad section out.

A — Staff (Artec Team): This is intended to replace the rear frame 5" back from the rear body mount on the side of the Jeep it will narrow the rear of the frame to allow for coil over towers it is not a OEM replacement

What are the dimensions that connect to the factory frame? I would like to use this for a cj5, but not sure if the frames are close enough to make this work.

A — Staff (Artec Team): it is designed to slip over a 4"x2.5" frame

What gas tanks will work with this? I do not want to do a fuel cell.

A — Staff (Artec Team): This will require you to run a Fuel cell .

What is the overall width of the back half frame kit,when done?

A — Staff (Artec Team): The width will be 37.5"

What about this kit requires a 1" body lift? Could it be used without a body lift?

A — Staff (Artec Team): The frame rails change to mount underneath the tub rather than on the side to allow more clearance for shocks on the side. A body lift is necessary because the body is directly above the new frame rail.

what thickness of 2"x3" tube do you guys recommend?

A — Staff (Artec Team): OEM frame is 1/8

Will I be able to easily mount my genright crawler comp tank which mounts int he stock location? I have a 2000 TJ.

A — Staff (Artec Team): Genright tank is too wide but some customers have just widened the tube where it would conflict to go around the tank. The actual backhalf brackets would remain unchanged.
