Absolutely love the rear tire delete kit. Didnt want a 37 on the back except for offroad and trips. Artec came highly recommended and I see why. Perfect fit. Shipped in secure package. All parts recieved even with some extras. Well worth the price
Love the way this finishes off the rear of our Rubicon Back up camera and third brake light looks and functions as if it were a factory piece but gives our Jeep a custom look as well
So I got this plate because I went with an aftermarket bumper and didnt have a great place to put the license plate and keep it lit up at night. Got the spare delete kit with no issues and pretty quick shipping bare aluminum and didnt see any dings dents or similar on it. Hit it with 3 coats of rustoleum hammertone paint and it was ready to install. The install was pretty quick and easy minor hick-up on the camera install but thats on me and not the plate (inserted it upside down even though it was specific to check first). The plate fit perfectly and the install of the light kit was similarly easy. Highly recommend for anyone that wants a spare tire delete kit I didnt find any that were as good near this price highly recommend.
Took only 2 beers and I was done. Great bolt out - bolt in product. I like it because I can swap back to factory very quickly should I ever choose to carry the spare on the tailgate. Love how compact the final look is reusing the factory 3rd brake light & camera. Easy
Bought the raw version and painted to color match my body color. Looks great and everything fits perfect with tight tolerances. I am very happy with it. If you get the lights be sure not to twist them much when installing (twist the back screw to tighten not the light itself to avoid twisting and breaking the wires).
This is the best spare tire delete for the JL hands down. The camera angle is spot on and placed up high to keep it clean and provide a wide view. The fact that is uses the OEM brake light is great due the safety it provides over other small dim aftermarket brake lights. And its aluminum as it should be.
So far Ive been very pleased with this spare tire delete kit. It fits perfect on my JL. Its a do it yourself type of installation. It gives my JL a new and better look. I highly recommended this spare tire delete kit.
A — Staff (Artec Team): Jeep did change the Camera in 2021 on the JL's . We revised the Spare Tire Delete in 2021 to accommodate both the original 2018-2020 style camera and the current 2021+ camera. We have tested the part on several 2022 models without issue .
