I was looking to build a strong highway D-30 for a Jeep TJ Cummins 4BT build. The motor is 720 ish lbs. the C-Gussets came in two parts (for each axel end) they fit perfectly. Artec provides great communication and guidance. Part quality could not be higher.
Very well designed and fit was great I did have to grind just a little on the tabs that fit up against the axle tube. Had a friend weld them on. Very well made and strong Definitely will recommend these to anyone running a Dana 30 with larger tires. Price was great too
They say theyre for d44tj however they fit my dana30 perfect and are going to require modification to fit my 44. First time Ive had brackets that were this far off. Everything else from this company has been great but dont buy these for a tj Dana 44
Great fitting product Ive heard you have to grind and fit most of these kits to fit properly that was not the case with these. Fit great and look good too.
Ive experienced good customer service as well as good shipping time. Upon arrival and out the box I was impressed on the craftsmanship and fitment of the c gussets. After welding them and playing with the Jeep Im happy with this purchase I highly recommend getting some
Very good product it fit just like it should and went on easily. The springs do rub against it but I dont think it can be helped without sacrificing strength which is the purpose for buying them.
These fit my Dana 30 really well. I wasnt quite sure of everywhere that was intended to be welded so I went to town and welded every accessible area to the axle and inner Cs which took a good part of a day. They are beefy and are great insurance for future off road trips.
A — Staff (Artec Team): There is not cutting needed in order to run our c gussets
A — Staff (Artec Team): Most shops should be able to knock out the c gussets in about 2-3hrs
A — Staff (Artec Team): We have not test fit them on any other axles they are designed off of the manufactures cad model specs for each specific axle
A — Staff (Artec Team): As long as the spring diameter is the same 5.5" as the factory and aftermarket companies use it should not need to be modified .
A — Staff (Artec Team): You can fully weld around the outside of them on the top and bottom there is a relief cut for the coil where it comes close to the C that you can not weld solid but other then that it should be solid
A — Staff (Artec Team): We do not have a set of c gussets for the YJ D30
A — Staff (Artec Team): You will want to pre-heat and post heat , and wrap in a welding blanket and let cool for 24hrs , As far as protecting the ball joint wrap a cold wet rag around it to ensure heat does not travel to it so its protected .
A — Staff (Artec Team): Yes, this kit covers both sides of the axle, both upper and lowers. There are 4 total pieces that will arrive in this kit.
