Highsteer arms
After buying my d60 ram and truss mount it was a no brainer to go with the full hydro high steer arms from artec also. These things look and feel like they belong on a tank. After buying everything thru artec for my front axle and being so satisfied with the quality strength and costumer service Ive decided everything I need to finish my one ton swap will be thru artec industries. Hands down the best company Ive delt with so far

These knuckles were easy to install and were very well manufactured. However very diffucult to differentiate between left and right sides no instructions were sent with these. Its not to hard to figure out how everything works together but maybe for someone who only does this once on their own rig....its not so intuitive. But other than that great affordable product.
High Steer Arms - 05+ Superduty
There are many companies that produce these kits and each is a little different. This kit is beefy and looks like it will hold up to the pounding that that is will take.
what is center of ball joint to center of heim bolt measurement?
A — Staff (Artec Team): for the pitman arm 6-1/2" for the tierod 8-3/4"
With these will you have to run a minimum of 17 inch diameter rim?
A — Staff (Artec Team): Yes you will need to run a 17" wheel with 4.75" of backspacing or less .
What ram stroke is needed for the 05+ superduty full hydro weld-on high steer arms?
A — Staff (Artec Team): Most people use a 8.5" ram
How much further out and up does this mount move the rod end from the factory tie rod mounting location?
A — Staff (Artec Team): It moves the steering out 2-1/2"
Will this kit work on 04 and under? how much different are the knuckles from 04 to 05
A — Staff (Artec Team): These will not work with the 99-04 knuckles we are currently developing them for the 99-04 which will be out shortly . the ball joint position and shape and size of the knuckles are completely different
Will these work with a 04 style knuckle? If not is there going to be anything made for a 99 to 04 in the very near future?
A — Staff (Artec Team): The weld on arms for the 05+ SD Will not work on the 99-04 knuckles, However due to the popularity of the Weld on High steer arms for the 05 & up and demand for some for the 99-04 axles we are currently developing them , So Keep an eye on our website they should be released shortly .
Should you remove the Ball Joints before welding this onto the knuckle?
A — Staff (Artec Team): You do not need to remove the ball joints to install the weld on high steer arms, You will want to preheat the knuckle prior to welding and post heat after welding , Just be sure to wrap a cold wet rag around the ball joint to protect it .
Will these clear 17" wheels with 5.5" back spacing?
A — Staff (Artec Team): We have not tested them on 5.5" backspacing but it likely won't work. We recommend 4.5" as maximum. We've confirmed with customers that 4.0" works and has plenty of room for another .5". See pics above for installed photos on 4.0".
