I purchased the SK1403 Kit with the JMX Heims to convert to cross over steering from the inverted y that was on my YJ. The steering kit is beefy and the Heims are awesome I really like the steel races on the JMX heim over the traditional injection molded heims most kits use. I have no bumpsteer now and it is nice and precise steering even without a steering dampener.
I used this kit with my Dana 60 swap on my 2009 jeep jk and it turned out great. I have hi-steer knuckles and everything seems to line up good. Great joints and the 1.5 DOM tubing will be stronger than most setups you can buy. I drilled out my pitman arm which is the hardest part and I put a slight bend in the drag link for the joints to have enough flex. Im very happy with this kit and it is comparable in price to other companies selling builder kits.
A — Staff (Artec Team): The JMX rod end is the type of heim joint It uses a Heat treated steel race with teflon coated ball instead of a stainless ball with nylon injection molded race found in other heims. The end result is a much tighter heim , no slop, does not wear as fast or squeak .
A — Staff (Artec Team): It does not include hardware. It will use 3/4" hardware but the length will vary depending on your particular steering application and axle.
A — Staff (Artec Team): Yes, this is a DIY kit and would require cutting and welding. Damaged items can be purchased separately if you have any issues.
A — Staff (Artec Team): This is a universal kit and should work great on a JK.
